    I love wearing clothes that look like they belong in a different era which is why I was overjoyed when I saw most of my favorite stores filled up with intricately designed 60s inspired clothing. In fact, I was so happy that I almost ended up spending all of my hard-earned cash on as much clothes I could find. Four Fashion Trends Going That I Normaly Wouldn't Wear But These Girls Pull Off So Well I Might Consider It

1.) Puffer Jackets - These types of jackets have never particularly appealed to me because they aren't really all that flattering on anyone. Yet, this girl pulls this jacket off so well and it's just because the jacket is cinched in at the waist. You too can pull of a puffer jacket by wearing a cinched belt at the waist.

2.) Fanny packs - I'm not going to lie I've actually been wanting a fanny pack for quite a while now because they are just so practical. But where I live we have so many tourists that I don't want to be confused for one. After seeing how well this girl pulls of her fanny pack it makes me want one even more.

3.) Nose rings- The kind that I've been seeing around a lot is the small side hoop earrings. When I told my mom how I was considering getting a nose ring she freaked out on me thinking that I was now going to be a rebel. But I've been seeing a lot of girls who "classily" pull of nose rings and for the most part aren't really rebellious. I still don't think that I would get a nose ring though because of how painful I've been told it is.

4.) Calf-length Dresses - The only reason I don't typically wear these types of dresses is because I am really short and they make me look shorter then I already am. But the slit on this dress helps elongate the girl's legs which means that I if I was to find similar dresses I too could wear Calf-length dresses and not look short.

Malala Yousafazai and Kailash Satyarthi

   First of all, I'm back! I know I haven't posted anything for a while but that's just because I've been so busy with college stuff and work. Okay, on to the important stuff. Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani education activist, and Kailash Satyarthi, the Indian children's rights activist, have been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for bravely and peacefully fighting for the rights of children to freely go to school without persecution and exploitation.

   As amazing as this is and as much impact that their efforts have made, there is still a lot of crime against schoolchildren just for being schoolchildren occurring in many countries.    It's that time of year again when the summer rains begin to get more and more frequent. What I learned from last years is that although umbrellas are helpful where I live they do not survive the strong winds that come with the rain. Another problem with umbrellas is that they take up a lot of room and tend to hit people as I walk through the narrow sidewalks of my campus. That's why this year I decided to get a raincoat instead. Not only does my raincoat look great with anything I wear it also takes up less room when I am walking and prevails through the harsh winds.
